ZDR Demand Response Controller

Wireless demand response unit with sub-second switching and high-speed data capture for real-time load management and M&V verification.

Load Control

Relay Outputs for Demand Response

The ZDR features onboard relay outputs that can switch loads on and off in response to demand response signals. Control HVAC systems, lighting circuits, water heaters, and other flexible loads directly from the wireless network with sub-second response times.

M&V Verification

High-Speed Data Capture

Built-in high-speed data capture records electricity consumption before, during, and after demand response events at sub-second intervals. This provides the measurement and verification (M&V) data needed to prove response delivery and qualify for demand response programme payments.

Fast Response

Sub-Second Switching

The ZDR responds to demand response commands in under one second, making it suitable for frequency response and fast-acting grid services. Commands flow from the gateway through the ZigBee mesh to the ZDR relay outputs with minimal latency.

ZigBee Mesh

Wireless Mesh Connectivity

Deploy the ZDR without running control cables. The ZigBee mesh network provides reliable, low-latency communication between the gateway and every ZDR unit. The self-healing mesh ensures commands are delivered even if individual nodes go offline.
