Wireless Analogue Signal Sensor

Convert any 4-20mA or 0-10V analogue signal into wireless IoT data. Bridge legacy sensors, transducers, and industrial instruments to your EpiSensor network without running data cables.

Universal Inputs

4-20mA and 0-10V Analogue Inputs

The ZIO series accepts 4-20mA current loop signals, while the ZVO series accepts 0-10V voltage signals -- the two most common analogue output standards in industrial instrumentation. This means you can wirelessly connect pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, CO2 sensors, light meters, and virtually any industrial transducer that outputs a standard analogue signal. Each unit provides two independent analogue input channels for cost-effective multi-point monitoring.

Configurable Scaling

Engineering Unit Conversion

Raw analogue values can be scaled to meaningful engineering units directly on the device. Configure the minimum and maximum range to map the 4-20mA or 0-10V signal to real-world values such as bar, PSI, litres per minute, or parts per million. The gateway and cloud platform then display readings in the correct units, eliminating the need for manual conversion and reducing the risk of interpretation errors in downstream systems.

Wireless Mesh

Self-Healing ZigBee Network

Like all EpiSensor sensors, the ZIO and ZVO join the ZigBee mesh network coordinated by the EpiSensor gateway. Mains-powered units act as mesh routers, extending network coverage to reach sensors in remote plant rooms, rooftops, and basement areas. The self-healing mesh automatically reroutes data around obstacles or failed paths, ensuring reliable delivery even in challenging industrial RF environments with metal enclosures and heavy machinery.

Loop Power

Built-In 24V DC Loop Power Supply

The ZIO includes a built-in 24V DC power supply capable of powering two-wire 4-20mA loop-powered transmitters directly. This eliminates the need for a separate power supply for each connected sensor, simplifying wiring and reducing component count in the panel. For three-wire and four-wire sensors that have their own power supply, the ZIO accepts the 4-20mA signal on a separate passive input.
